Paul Banks - Everybody On My Dick Like They Supposed To Be

New mixtape from Brit-Indie, post punk vocalist Paul Banks of Interpol fame... who unbeknownest to me makes beats.. and does so quite well.

Some really ill shit on this if you dig the more downtempo, fuzzed out, slightly Madlib'esque, blunted and oh so freely composed instrumental typa stuff.. I know I will partake.

Besides the wonky beat work, you'll also get a few collab's that Paul was able to snag up from names like EL-P, Talib Kweli, and Mike G (Odd Future).. It's over at Datpiff for free.99.. dig in babies.

Single: Digital Diamonds (Jonwayne & Scoop Deville) ft. Kurt - In Spite

Def. something a lil' different here and something that the old Nirvana heads will dig..

Scoop Deville, son of legendary west coast rapper Kid Frost has fast built a reputation as one of the better and versatile up-and-coming producers out this way and has collaborated with many a nice artist..

On "In Spite", Scoop links with Stones Throw newb, Jonwayne for a minimalist's dream...and oh yeah, Kurt Cobain on the hook, with his hook from "In Bloom".

I fuck with this man..

Joey Badass - Rejex

Joey Badass is the new kid on the block that absolutely stunned the blogosphere w/ his "1999" mixtape release, a drop that pretty much managed to capture a great deal of that good ol' vinatge 90's feel that so many fans flock to when they hear it..

Well, if you did enjoy that initial release, get ready to be further pleased as Joey was wise enough to keep all the things he recorded for "1999" on the cutting room floor...

Joey:
“‘Rejex’ is a compilation of tracks that didn’t make it to my debut mixtape ’1999′. I decided to put this project together because I have a lot of unreleased material that I didn’t want to keep from the ears of my fans and supporters. (…) I also have a couple of tracks on here I did when I was 15 years old and I want to show people the progress I’ve made in a couple of years.”

Murs & Whole Wheat Bread Are The Invincibles

Where all my punk rock PHH heads?? I know we got a few of ya'll out there, and for ya'll today this will be a true treat...

Enter in longtime Cali underground champ Murs and FLA punk collective Whole Wheat Bread... then enter in some of their unreleased work...ahhhh, now it gets interesting don't it... read on children:

Murs first met the the Jacksonville punk legends on the 2003 Warped Tour. Years later they reconnected through mutual friend Travie McCoy of Gym Class Heroes. They recorded some songs for Murs’ 2008 Warner Bros. release Murs For President. Red tape kept the songs shelved, but Murs and WWB felt there was a definite vibe worth further development. In fall 2009 they proclaimed themselves the Invincibles and began recording. This EP contains 6 songs from that period. Other songs may surface. Murs recently dropped visuals for “Epic Salutations” (watch here), from his recent album Love & Rockets Vol. 1: The Transformation, produced entirely by Ski Beatz, the producer behind classic records for Jay-Z, Mos Def and more. Murs’ most recent release is Yumiko: Curse Of The Merch Girl, his album and graphic novel collaboration with Josh Blaylock. He recently curated Through The Mic, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s first-ever hip-hop concert series, and this year’s installment of his annual Paid Dues festival featured Wu-Tang Clan, Odd Future, Kendrick Lamar and many more.

Singles: Cut Chemist ft. Blackbird - Outro (Revisited)

One of the best DJ's, turntablists and producers in Cali ever AKA Cut Chemist, AKA the guy who played the science teacher in the film Juno, is preparing to drop another solo release on us titled "Die Cut (A Stable Sound)"...

"Outro (Revisited)" has that dope, manic and upbeat feel to it that blurs the lines between Hip-Hop, punk and speed metal..I digs this.. I rage to this...I will throw a TV at your head to this...

Kaimbr - The BrotherShip

Kaimbr is quickly becoming one of my favorite producers out here man..that's high praise considering I already think he's a dope emcee... I like the way this cat chops stuff up.. his ears have some interesting and funky ass ways of re-arranging things..

He's already got a few projects under his belt like the "Alexander Green Project" and the "Mr. Myagi" beat tape that are totally worth ya time and now he adds this collection of raw ass Led Zepellin flips to his resume'.. this cat is busy and puts out quality...

Celebrating 40 years since the Release of Led Zepplins "Mothership" album. Reworked in a Rock meets Hip Hop, Kaimbr brings insane chops with heavy drums. Ideas inspired by Past Loud Record Exec, Kris Ramson. Kris provided vocal co production on *Katrina* and *Brothership* Kaimbr really digs deeps to pay homage to the great band Led Zepplin. Hope you Enjoy. #kragenoff
