Statik Selektah was out in the ATL recently taking in the AC3 Hip-Hop festival and shooting a video single for the first offering off his forthcoming "Pre Game" EP....
Recruiting North Click J Leaguer Joe Scudda as well as Philly MC Truck North and L.A.'s latest noteworthy rhymer Diz Gibran to all get loose over one of those trademark Showoff beats, Stat once again wins here...The vid is coo, but the song is far more impressive. Memo to the rest of Hip-Hop: Cuts on the chorus is still the most superior way of executing a Hip-Hop hook....and Selektah does it well here.
Before I jump outta this post a couple of random thoughts....Scudda's beard is about as off putting as Alchemists and is it just me or does Diz sorta sound like Defari's lil' brother or relative or some shit?
Dope effort all around here, Selektah's new EP drops this November.
