Single: Tha Dogg Pound - Blessin (prod. by Hi-Tek)

These bruthas have been at it since I first got into Hip-Hop around 94' and once again are back with a new material....

Over the years Daz and Kurupt's relationship has been marred with fueding, reconciliations, postponed record deals and even stints when they stopped speaking all together but it seems that now they have mended fences permanently (lol, I hope) and are ready to give DPG fans the first Dogg Pound full length album since 2007's "Dogg Chit"....

Here we have the first single off the said new project that is thee appropriately titled "Blessin". This is all and all a pure banger to me....With production wiz Hi-Tek handling the beat, Kurupt and Daz go back and forth with melancholy lines about overcoming all the bullshit that has encroached heavily on their careers. I have no choice but to sit back and smile....After all of the struggles, all the setbacks, internal and external beefs, they've come out on top, making dope music....

It was cool to hear them reminisce about everything that went down back then. Touching on Death Row, the loss of Pac and even overcoming drug problems, you can't help but listen up and be proud of em' for hangin' in. Hey, don't forget these are the men who brought the rap world albums like "Dogg Food", "Retaliation, Revenge & Get Back", "Kuruption!", "The Streets Is A Mutha" and in Daz's case, also helped produce some of Hip-Hop's all-time most memorable albums.

Tha Dogg Pound's new LP "That Was Then, This Is Now" is comin' soon folks....til' then enjoy the "Blessin".
