This tape right here is absolute classic, vintage, Doo Wop. Known as being one half of the Diaz Brothers and blazing trails as one of New York’s premier DJ’s when it comes to assembling quality mixtapes, Doo Wop would really wow the underground and mainstream hip-hop audiences alike with his amazing foresight on this project . This tape really introduced to me a new way of looking at mixtapes and how dudes were putting them together. For this endeavor, and many more to come Doo Wop had assembled an all- star east coast lineup, and had labeled the first side “New York’s In The House” which was a 21 minute intro showcasing a rapper repping his borough or project.
