DJ J-Love & Prodigy- The Comeback Kid

Although our favorite hardcore MC Prodigy is locked down we shoulden't forget that left us some really great music before he went away to serve his 3 year prison sentence. DJ J-Love a long time supporter and purveyor of Mobb Deep's and Prodigy's music has put together another excellent mix of P's newer stuff that he either just recently dropped or was getting ready to drop right before he started to serve his bid. Joints on here like "My World Is Empty" and "Still Slaves" resonated deeply with me, due to Prodigy's gift for powerful political and historic speak. While listening to those joints I almost instantly wished that the rest of the rap game was making stuff that sounded like this. He really flexes his vocabulary and song composition skills for a lot of these joints, provng that in fact just as the title of this tape states that he truly is the "Comeback Kid". This new material is stronger and more on point than ever and once again I applaud J-Love for recognizing that and putting it out there for the masses to hear. This is a can't miss for every real Prodigy fan as they wait in anticipation for his new H.N.I.C. album to drop sometime this Spring or Summer.
