Dukedagod Presents - 'Harlem Classics'

The man behind the scenes in one of the most powerful movements in recent memory is releasing to the public a few of his favorite relics. "Harlem Classics" is jam packed with the Set's best work, from a time when they weren't masquerading around town in shirts and jeans that were two sizes too small and repeating the phrase "no homo" incessantly, despite the fact that their whole steez at the moment is in fact, very, very suspect indeed. Nope, this is from a time when they were screaming "Dipset Taliban" every other sentence and bringin' terror to many a soul sample laced Heatmakerz concoction. While many of the joints on here can be found on the Dip's older (much better) mixtapes and album releases. There really isn't too much truly "unreleased" material on this joint, if you know any Dipset head, chances are you've prolly heard all of these, Still it's nice to have em' all in one place, and chances are you haven't heard em' in this nice of a quality. Duke Da God scores a winner with this, and perhaps sends a subtle message to the talent he once found and helped put together. Standout tracks are "Royalty", "Magic", "Around My Way", "New Season", "Long Time Coming" and "The Slaughter"
