BIG D O Presents..."The Tape"

Well, here it is folks....my first, real, pressed up project...."The Tape". It's been a real testament of love trying to get this monster complete, but I finally did, and I finally feel like I've actually accomplished a lil' something as a producer.

For those that are unfamiliar with what I'm talkin' about, let me illuminate a few things for ya.....Not only does BIG D O blog, but yes, I am a beatmaker of sorts as well, lol....that figures right? "The Tape" was a remix project that I began working on two years ago and finished about 4 months back. I decided to get the artwork done and get it pressed up like a real CD, don't ask me why other than I'm just trying to get my name out there and generate some good buzz for this project and my new label imprint Foresight Records...And well, I love Hip-Hop and I always wanted to put something out that I felt was like, really true to the culture and was artistically viable in a lot of ways....

I have a whole lil' write up on "The Tape" that I'll post last, but before I do that I just wanted to thank all of you guys that come through on this blog, leave comments, email me and all that....you guys are part of the reason I decided to go for the gusto with this project and part of the reason why it's free....your feedback and inquiries help me keep my belief that real heads who would appreciate my music are still out there.....

Moving on...I've already thrown this to some other really dope blogs like: http://www.hhb.org.uk/, http://beatboxradioshow.blogspot.com/ , http://hiphopgiant.blogspot.com/ and several forums: http://www.hiphopgame.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70504, http://www.philaflava.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=109048, http://www.rapmullet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22308, http://www.legalhustle.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12722....so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding it arond the net if you look where real heads congregate.....

In any case lemme stop rambling and give ya the goods....

Bringing you his debut Remix project on his new imprint Foresight Records, underground beatmaker BIG D O emerges with "The Tape". Tired of real Hip-Hop being ignored and mis-handled D O has set out to put his own unique stamp on the game and remind people of what used to be...and what still can...

"The Tape" is Representative of those glorious days of old when cassettes and vinyl dominated and good music was backed up by solid and conscious emceeing. Collecting a bevy of acapella's from the underground's most respected acts to remix, "The Tape" was a true labor of love and was recorded over the span of two years....Full of wonderful warmth, inventive samples, vinyl drum break gems and designed to mimic what a cassette would sound like, D O takes you on a wonderful Lo-fi journey into what he deems "real music for real music lovers".
