Opio - Everybody Loves The Sun EP

Your favorite Hieroglyphics member and one half of Souls Of Mischief, Opio has returned with a brand spankin new EP fully produced by Architect titled "Everybody Loves The Sun". This is a strikingly dope EP and next to Brother Ali's "The Truth Is Here" and Krohme's "The Onset Of Change", it's the best of 09' thus far....I was really blown away at how ill and cohesive this EP project was. Architect has a real flair for soulful, laid back, hazy funk production and his well placed, intriguing vocal intros/interludes are in the same league as the legendary Prince Paul's are here.

Architect and Opio absolutely did a wonderful job putting "Everybody Loves The Sun" together and the EP is driven by Op's thoughtful and unforced emceeing layered over real Hip-Hop......If you've been dismayed by the last few Hiero releases than Opio will no doubt get you back on the third eye vision bandwagon with his ethereal and tonally exquisite EP. When it concluded I instantly wished it were longer; that's how I am certain that it's one of the finest extended play's of the year....Fortunately for me Op and Arch will be releasing their full length CD/DVD "Vulture's Wisdom" on July 15th.....

-BIG D O
