DJ Vadim is truly a one of kind type of musician. The DJ, producer, radio presenter, promoter, label head and occasional painter was born in Russia, raised in London and now splits his time residing in both New York City and Port Au-Prince, Haiti....The man gets around, knows the tricks of the trade, spends 170 to 180 days on tour a year and the reason why he's featured on Purehip-hop today is because of his gift for fusing dub, dancehall and Hip-Hop production. Masterfully combining all three genres and even more, Vadim displays a wonderful flair for good music on his latest compilation release "U Can’t Lurn Imaginashun".

Vadim is a true master at creating smooth, experimental riddums on this heady, musical LP.....utilizing underlying tones of Reggae, Electronica and Hip-Hop drum arrangements Vadim relays his production on here wonderfully and diversely....Ranging in sound from soulful ("That Life") to R&B ("Thrill Seeker"), instrumental ("Strictly Rockers 215") and even dance ("Rock Dem Hot"), you'll be hard pressed to find anyone who can get down in so many ways. There are lots of different deliveries of song on here as well....you have some singing, some toastin', some emceeing and Vadim also gets down on the turntablism in spots too.
