Single: The Game - Bang Along

While I don't usually ever feel the inkling to put up much of The Game's stuff and I really can't co-sign the direction of his last LP (or latest tattoo revision), I can't deny that this here honestly is nothing but dopeness.....

We find our Damu Dodger reciting raps about his sincerely L.A. lifestyle, complete with references to "Friday", N.W.A., Black Loc's, Gheri Curls, low lows with hydraulics bouncing sideways and a suspect reference to the Jordan V's (don't remember them bein' suede). All of this over a perfect lil' piano loop, a thumping kick drum and the angelically resonant "baang aloooong" vocal sample serenading the mood perfectly....If I decide to drink a 40 outside on the block this weekend while the sun slowly comes down over my bewilderingly humid city, please believe "Bang Along" will be on repeat....

Game's talent was always undeniable.......he just chooses to go in the mainstream direction too often, but now perhaps he's really ready to make that west coast classic we all thought we were gonna get with "The Doctor's Advocate".....we'll have to wait and see....
