Thanks in part to the ultra dope and ever-popular weekly Hip-Hop show Funkadelic Freestyles that's operated outta George Washington University in D.C. (go Colonials!!) and the multi-threat blog site, web portal and boutique music label FWMJ's Rapper's I Know, we got the brand new and fully exclusive "The Off Season Vol.1"....

"The Off Season" was given it's name to denote the hefty break between college semesters (lol, I can understand that) and hopefully this is only the first volume in what will become a lengthy and fortuitous series and is being released in part to get ya'll ready for the return of the Funkadelic Freestyles radio show on August 11th. Hosted by radio personality Jamie Benson, mixed by Jerome Baker III and featuring drops from fellow show personalities Jay Promo, King Carter, Unkle Scooty, and Sneakaman Dan, this is a can't miss for fans of the site, radio show and just underground heads in general.

Whether rockin' out to Danny Brown's hard luck rhymes over a gripping beat produced by 14KT on "That's Just The Way It Goes" or enjoying the soulful harmony of 10 A.K. as they resonate on a delectably synthy and stringy Trackademicks tune for "Lovecoats", the new wave of neo-undergrond Hip-Hop and electro soul is presented in full force....Sure we got some of the most notable up and coming names on here giving us heat, but I'm delighted to see the true rookies hang with their contributions as well.
