Single: Joe Budden - Russian Roulette Freestyle

As much as I like to big up the fact that I stay away from all the "mainstream" ish' out there, I must admit every once in awhile I go trolling the web just to stay up to date. Don't ask me why, I don't have any friends who are in the 18 to 20 year old demo that I can chat with that shit about, I just get semi curious about how far gone things are getting.

Most of the time I'm genuinely appalled by what I see like when I caught that new LMFAO & Lil' Jon video today. Sometimes however I do actually gotta shrug my shoulders and say "hey, this ain't all that bad"....

I had to repeat that very sentence after listening to this new Joe Budden freestyle over Rihnanna's latest single "Russian Roulette", that is surprisingly very listenable despite the fact that I'm not a fan of anything Rihanna, cept' maybe Rihanna herself.

Seems that even though Budden recently lost a woman (and gained another) his knack for straight ripping other folks' beats will never leave him. This freestyle is a perfect example of how he still can wind it up and throw some decent heat, as he delves into some rhymes that deal with his latest personal issues and simultaneously display those trademark witty punchlines and metaphors we all know and love...guy still has it, no doubt about that.

Good stuff Joey...especially for just a random track you did while touring. Anyone else not surprised he stayed away from anything Raekwon related? LOL, I joke, I joke, I kid, I kid....
