Video Interview: Cormega Breaks Down his album "The Realness"

Taking some time to break down his debut LP (and in all actuality it was really his 2nd album) from back in 2001 "The Realness" with ClassicRhymes.com, Cormega drops some science on his fans head's about how things all came together back then.

Beginning by explaining how he got into rapping and his origins in Queensbridge, Mega gives a lil' insight into some things you might've never known. Personally I never knew he was originally from Brooklyn or that he used to battle frequently.

Moving along, Cory then gets into the meat of the interview and describes how certain joints off "The Realness" came to be. Exposing among other things that "American Beauty" was inspired by Common's classic record "I Used To Love H.E.R." and that Prodigy was always his best lyrical sparring partner, Cory gets pretty candid.

This was especially a dope interview for someone like myself who's been following Mega's career since he was first axed by The Firm. I remember buying "The Realness" 8 years ago and almost instantly dubbing it a classic record. Really interesting to hear Mega reflect on it all these years later.
