Single: Cunninlynguists ft. Evidence & E-40 - Running Wild

I don't know if there is any better account of the recent wave of chaotic turns the world has been taking right now than "Running Wild", the new single from Cunninlynguists that features bay area legend E-40 and L.A. underground force Evidence of Dilated Peoples fame.

Aside Natti and Deacon The Villain, E-40 (whom I am no fan of in the least bit) drops a worthy verse and Ev dishes a quick, yet vivid full course meal for thought. All MC's contribute thoughtful offerings over Kno's dramatic production and do a good job to make me just stop and really say yeah, the world is in a very wild place as of right now. Between Swine Flu scares, a muddled war in Afghanistan, heaps of natural disasters and increasing economic problems that got at least one person you know at their breaking point, yeah, it's about high time Hip-Hip steps in with an opinion. Cunninlynguists to the rescue....

This is what real Hip-Hop does at its finest kiddies; it expresses feelings about the things that we all are mired in. This, much like mostly everything that the Cunninlynguists are associated with is a truly dope and uncut expression about how a lot of us are feeling while we watch this madness swirl out of control before our very eyes.

The group's new LP "Strange Journey Volume Two" drops on November 3rd, and BTW is a follow up to the first "Strange Journey Vol. One" that was categorically slept on and one of the best albums of the year.
