The Southpaw Chop - Never Stop Sampling EP Snippets

Continuing in the tradition of many of his peers, Japanese DJ and producer The Southpaw Chop is a great talent who's skills are steeped in Hip-Hop's prized techniques and better era's.

Shunning the production pack and keyboard fads of today, Southpaw is a vinyl head and will use nothing else but the sounds he finds on records to craft his amazingly soulful, gritty and characteristically golden age beats. His talent is staggering and as someone that tries his best to craft beats in the same process, which I assure you is no simple task at all, I'm totally blown away by this kid's arrangement abilities...From the grooves, riffs, crashes and drum breaks, everything that Southpaw arranges is lifted off dusty records. Dare I say he's the best I've heard at composing beats completely from scratch since DJ Shadow on "Endtroducing".

All you have to do is listen to these snippets of his upcoming EP "Never Stop Sampling" and you will be able to discern right away that Southpaw's talent is wide...included is "Here We Go"; the track he constructed with Large Professor that embodies what I wish Hip-hop could be nowadays.

"Never Stop Sampling" will become available on the 28th and I don't care whether I gotta use dollars or yen I'm copping no questions asked.

On a small side note, ya'll stay tuned and BIG D O might have a project very similar to this in late Spring droppin'...Shhhh, don't tell nobody though.
