In some terribly sad news today, it's been confirmed by his label Hydeout Productions and friend Shing02, that 36 year old, Japanese producer and DJ, Nujabes AKA Jun Seba was tragically killed in late Febuary in a car crash in Tokyo.
Apparently on the 26th Nujabes was leaving the Metropolitan Expressway in Tokyo's Minato Ward when he crashed. It was the same day that Japan experienced a magnitude 7.3 earthquake off their coast.
His family buried him today in a private ceremony.
The production wiz, known for his airy, soulful Hip-Hop compositions as well as his contributing music to Cartoon Network's Samurai Champloo program leaves behind two record stores, countless international fans and a solid career as a beatmaker.
