News: Big Boi Signs To Def Jam



In some good news (I hope) it appears that Atlanta's long reigning king of originality and IMO emceeing, AKA Big Boi has inked a fresh new deal with the storied Hip-Hop label Def Jam Records.

While Def Jam certainly isn't the same label that it was back when in it's hay days of the late 80's and 90's, it's still a force in mainstream urban music (barf) and I'm pretty sure Big Boi is about to get broke off with a proper advance and some decent promotion for his new album; the much anticipated "Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty".

The signing also marks a reunion of sorts with Big Boi rejoining his old LaFace Records boss L.A. Reid, who is now the head honcho over at Def Jam (R.I.P. Shakir Stewart), and who oversaw the release of all 5 of Outkast's studio albums.

Big Boi seemed enthusiastic about the move, lol:
