Death Anniversary: Professor X



While all ya'll are out and about today/tonight chugging gallons of green beer, be sure to put one in the air and make a toast to a Hip-Hop pioneer, a true revolutionary and the son of Sonny Carson; Professor X The Overseer, who passed on four years ago today...

LOL, on 2nd thought, I doubt X would be too supportive of a holiday like St. Paddy's, so a simple thought will do I suppose...

X's group; The X-Clan, was known far and wide for their Afrocentrism and militancy and much of their work was a great influence on my writing and thinking back in the day and even now.

Youngins!, I challenge all of you to go out and find a copy of the X-Clan's 1st album "To The East Blackwards" and listen to it front to back and become aware of how these bruthas influenced damn near every modern rapper and were the first ones to flip many a classic sample...
