Review: Madlib & Guilty Simpson - OJ Simpson



As the city of Detroit continues to falter with billions in debt being accrued by it’s once thriving automobile industry, war zone like crime and 3rd world poverty conditions, from almost out of nowhere a true Hip-Hop renaissance has sprung up. Hockey town artists are kicking rhymes that are as brutal as their surrounding conditions over beats that marry the soul of Motown with the innovation of J Dilla’s on-going influence. Over the past 4 or 5 years you’d be hard pressed to find a more legit scene anywhere on the U.S. map and at the forefront of this movement is a man named Guilty Simpson.
