Video: Ron "Amen-Ra" Lawrence Re-Creates "Where I'm From"



You'd be hard pressed to find Jigga lookin for beats this ill or even rhymin' like that anymore...tragic really...IMO, this was one of Jay's finest moments ever.

At any rate, producer Amen Ra, the man who laced this joint and who some of you Hip-hop heads will remember was the other half of Deric "D-Dot" Angelettie's (then known as D.O.P) group Two Kings In A Cypher

Noble Ahmen-Ra gives ya'll a beginners course in chopping samples across 16 pads (velocity version) as well as some basic layering as he re-hashes the basic gist behind how "Where I'm From" was created.

Ain't Nuttin Nice...
