Lee Bannon - The Checkpoint Mixtape

Sacramento based producer Lee Bannon gathers together some of his finest assists as well as a few new looks and gets up with DJ Flow for a new mixtape titled "The Checkpoint".

Bannon is a capable beatmaker who's diverse soundscapes usually combine laid back soul with head nodding boom bap drum arrangements. Here we find him linking up with a grip of dope MC's from both coasts and making heady Hip-Hop.

Most of the joints that Bannon hands to cats get special themes and are immensely creative. No question there is some crooning going on, but with a Hip-Hop twist...

I like Bannon's style...his mixtape earns a solid 7 outta 10...
