News: Supreme Court Overturns Mumia Abu-Jamal Decision

It seems that we just can't get any good news these days....

According to The BBC News, former radio journalist, Black Panther, political activist, part time cabbie and one of my hugest broadcasting influences, Mumia Abu-Jamal, received some potentially damning news today.

It seems the Supreme Court has thrown aside a ruling made by the U.S. 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals in 2008 that was protecting Jamal from being executed for his conviction of (allegedly) murdering a Philly cop named Daniel Faulkner back in 1981.

The main cause for the swift change of heart? A "similar" case involving Frank Spisak, a neo-Nazi who killed three people in 1982. SMH...

Despite the fact that there was tons of contradicting trial evidence, biased judges, possible witness coercion, crooked cops, flawed jurors and a laundry list of other clearly questionable themes and people that were involved in both his investigation and trial, Jamal was still convicted in 1982 and is now possibly facing the terminal end of the appeals process due to some neo-Nazi piece of crap that actually is delaying a penalty he deserves.

Although this ruling came down and is pretty definite, Jamal could still ask the 3rd Circuit to order a federal trial court to consider his case again on other still-pending defense claims....
