Single: Scheme ft. Mikkey Halstad - Lose Your Soul (prod. by Panik)

Been a minute since I featured the Chicago homie and Molemen member Scheme on PHH...

The last time I really did dig in was when I wrote about his vid for "Chicano", a bangin cut off his last EP "Manifesto" that explores the subjects of identity and history in Mexican American culture, if there is such a thing...

Dude was mad gracious commenting on my rambling review and a real inspiration to me; a fellow humble Latino caught up tryin' to leave his mark in Hip-Hop in some way...That's why it's so pleasing to see him continue to make just outright nasty music simply out of the love...Hey, he keep on makin' it, I'mma keep on postin' it...

Scheme's recently hit all his fans and the interwebz with yet more dope music in his new single with another Chi-town MC Mikkey Halstead, titled "Lose Your Soul". Besides being a straight banger lyrically, this joint is also produced by none other than Panik, one third of the founding members of the Chicago underground staple Molemen Records.

Done in conjunction with my fav. new website/blog/news outlet RubyHornet.com, this is a great look for underground Chicago Hip-Hop...All parties involved gel together great on the track and Panik, who sometimes can get a lil' elusive, def. still has it...

Don't expect an overly grim cut for "Lose Your Soul", it's actually got more of a soulful and reflective typa feel to it...
