Single: Statik Selektah ft. Lil' Fame, Havoc & Kool G Rap - Do It 2 Death

Another new single off Statik Selektah's forthcoming "100 Proof" LP that is shaping up to be pretty insane...

Over one of Selektah's bangin' compositions (this man got beats yo) three of Hip-Hop's most respected NYC emcee's combine for "Do It 2 Death", a track title that is pretty ironic considering that I feel all of the parties involved will be doing this music til' they're laid to rest. If you think I'm off base than please understand that Kool G is 41, Havoc is 35 and Fame's age is largely unknown (but I suspect he's in his mid or late 30's too), lol, these bruthas been doin it proper for decades and this outing is no exception...

I believe this is the first time these three specifically have collab'd on a track together. I know they all were on the Frankie Cutlass track "Know The Game", but that was more in a group dynamic. G Rap has worked with both Fame ("Legendary Street Team", "Stick To Ya Guns") and Hav "Thug Chronicles") separately on numerous occasions, but yeah, this is only the 2nd time that all three been together on a cut, so if your an old NYC Hip-Hop head from the 90's, "Do It 2 Death" should hold a lil' bit of sentimental and historic value for you...

As for Statik, I gotta say, duke's connections are thick (who else be havin Premier stoppin' by to flick it up and give him his signature AF1's?) and he's establishing a real presence in the game through his DJing as well.

He's got some great new projects coming up and of course on Feb. 2nd "100 Proof" will be available...
