News: Killa Sha Passes Away

It's with a heavy heart that I bring you guys the tremendously saddening news that longtime Queensbridge rapper and producer Killa Sha AKA Sha-Lumi AKA Prince A.D. passed away this weekend.....

Apparently despite his slight frame Sha battled with a serious Diabetes problem for years and eventually the disease just won out...

Known as one of the grimiest emcee's in the game who possessed one of the most distinct voices we've ever heard, Sha was a staple in Queens hardcore and underground Hip-Hop. A member of his own group the Killa Kidz who released a sorted number of 12" vinyl singles over the years, Sha lived Hip-Hop. He was definitely grounded but also collaborated many times with Queens and Queensbridge royalty like Large Professor, Marley Marl, Cormega, Noreaga, Imam Thug, Screwball, Mobb Deep and perhaps most frequently, Tragedy Khadafi.

Sha released several street albums/mixtapes including "The Black Eminem", "Da Billy Coles Story" and most recently his 2007 retail debut "God Walk On Water". If you really kept up with him and have seen the crates upon crates of records in the background of his crib while he did interviews, you know that he also doubled was a producer. Regrettably I don't have a full list of joints that he produced or had a hand in producing at this time...

A noted talent taken far too soon....R.I.P. Prince A.D.
