Consisting of one of my all-time fav. former Rawkus Records MC's Shabaam Sahdeeq, newcomer MC Red Eye and the emerging Queens hardcore production duo known as the Thorotracks, The Closers have been hard at work building up some promo buzz via dope singles. Now after some great music that speaks for itself we get to hear the group's first real mixtape effort the "Bullpen Sessionz"

Presented by two of the illest websites out there in Rapmullet.com and the Hip-hop blogging force that is 2DopeBoyz, the fellas get some proper backing and they deserve it.

Featuring some guest appearances from fellow hardcore boom bap-ist's in Blaq Poet, Krumb Snatcha, Gab Gacha, Bekay, NYoil, Reks and Planet Asia, I saw and heard the care that Shabaam, Red Eye and the Thorotracks took in creating this...Making sure to make this a hard line Hip-Hop head's go to source for bullshit free bars and beats...

The "Bullpen" ain't no warm up area for relief pitchers or the time spent in limbo while you wait to hook up w/ a new lady friend kids...nah playa, in the common eastern vernacular it's the holding cell in a city jail AKA where just about any and every damn thing can pop off and if you ain't about yours someone in it will leave you shirtless, shoeless and toothless. It's with that same live or die attitude that most of The Closers music is made and got damnit I respect that.
