Video Interview: Ronnie Fieg For Karmaloop TV

Recently I've been able to cop myself a few pairs of new kicks (thank you federal student loan program) and actually one of the newbies I picked up was a pretty clean pair of Asics Gel III's, so this new video of NYC-based shoe designer and industry insider Ronnie Fieg; a man who's personally designed a bunch of Gel III's for the Asics company resonated quickly...

Besides perhaps being the man behind the design of my personal Gel III's, Fieg has deep roots in the NYC shoe industry and here with Karmaloop he discusses his genesis in the shoe hustle as he worked his way up from a stockboy at famed Soho shoe spot David Z.'s to one of the designer's at the store, having celebs drop in and request special orders, rocking his designs and doing collaborations with companies like Adidas, Red Wings, Saucony and New Balance among others.

Moral of this story hard and learn the game and you may one day go from sitting on the bench to an all-star, just like Mr. Fieg here...
