Hungry Bros Boom Sound Presents It's A Tragedy Mixed by Dawit Justice

Long before his current prison bid, collaborations with east coast Hip-Hop elite, being referenced on the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air and a few noteworthy solo albums, the conscious/hardcore Queensbridge poet known as Tragedy Khadafi was the youngest member of the legendary Juice Crew and a man that truly lived the lyrics.....

Brought up in the largest housing projects in America (ever since Chi Town's Cabrini Green Housing was torn down) Queensbridge, Trag's childhood lived up to his stage name....From guns, drugs, a broken home and even being abducted by venomous dope dealers, many QB residents regard Tragedy's life story to be the inspiration behind Nas's rap persona.

A career that has been spent giving his hardcore fans what they really wanted with poignant, raw rhymes that reflect a lifetime of struggle, Trag's prolific consistentcy is matched only by his incessant run-in's with the law.

Chronicled here on the 53 minute mix "It's A Tragedy", DJ Dawit Justice re-visits a plethora of Trag's all-time greatest efforts and blends them with new music, FX and sounds. Lending him a hand for this brilliantly done remix project are his fellow Hungry Bros Boom brethren Ras Ceylon and June22. The three men add a wonderful touch to the incarcerated MC's work, paying homage to a humble artist who once provided Ras Ceylon with a guest spot for his album "Scientific/Non-Fiction".
