Single: Havoc - Smells Like Nine Five (prod. by Ty Fyffe)

Havoc comes through with a quick lil' banger that really doesn't peak my interest in a new project from him so much as it does highlight the production from a name I once used to hear ring out in the production world constantly....

Ty Fyffe is a beatmaking legend out of Queens, NY that in the mid 90's was known as a go to guy when it came to securing a gritty or dark boom bap concoction ...He serviced the likes of Cam'ron, Busta Rhymes and LL Cool J among others in their hay days and has managed to adapt to new waters in the latter part of his 17 yr. career.

Fyffe's glory years are no doubt the inspiration for the title "Smells Like Nine Five", which despite being far to short, does sport some sinister strings, a thumping bassline and ominous, shadowy keys, heavily resembling the kind of shit that was standard bumpage material in the good ole' days....
