Dotgotit.com & Illcuts.com Present: The 88' Vs. 94' Mixtape...Mixed by DJ Grandman & DJ Elmattic

For hopeless 90's and 80's Hip-Hop fanatics like myself tapes/mixes like this always are a great point of interest...Seldom do folks pay proper respect to Hip-Hop's truly glorious past, but the people over at DotGotIt.com and Illcuts.com have done up something pretty special for all of you that missed Hip-Hop's formative and towering years of 1994 and 1988...

For the youngins; a chance to see all the dope shit you missed, lol...for the rest of us crabby purists; yet another opportunity to squabble about whether "Word...Life" & "Illmatic" were as great as "Long Live The Kane" & "Follow The Leader"...

Personally, I'll say that you'll find no 80's baby more into 90's Hip-Hop than I, but I also hold a special, special love for late 80's Hip-Hop too...mainly because it all was so uber creative and honest to me...back then MC's weren't afraid to discuss completely average (relatable) things in their music and they also approached love/relationships in much more real fashion too. There was plenty of edgier stuff too (G Rap, Kane, Rakim) but it wasn't so blatantly over the top.

Dive into this, especially that 1st side kiddies...
