As you watch this video I bet you instantly thought, wow, this is some dope old school shit from 93'...I mean it's easy to believe that this vid and group did this joint back in the day; for one, PMDF yells "fresh from 93'" at the beginning of the track, 2ndly, the film utilized is of the same gloriously semi-grainy quality that most of my fav. vids from back then were shot on. 3rd, Son Doobie used to rhyme exactly like that back in the day man...exactly like that...

The truth is this video/song was a re-creation and was shot this year, not 17 years ago and The Grimm Teachaz AKA PMDF and KDz are actually Chicago based experimental Hip-Hop duo Friday Night AKA Hi-Fidel & Serengeti...This is such a great look man. I've been waitin for something like it for a loooong minute. Wouldn't it be ill if this joint sparked a resurgence in that great, traditional boom bap sound? Maaaaan...
