Death Anniversary: Bob Marley

(Feb. 6, 1945 – May 11, 1981)

The world renowned and much beloved original father of the Rasta mentality in reggae, Robert Nesta Marley crafted 19 studio and live albums with his group the Wailers and was a man of great virtue, patience and intellect. He opposed and spoke out against wickedness across the globe and his brilliant songwriting abilities were only rivaled by his humility toward others.

...his famous last words to his son on his death bed: "Money can't buy life."

Marley passed away at the mere age of 36 of melanoma spreading throughout his body. he left behind eleven children and a legacy that will endure forever.
